Our beautiful and recently restored 70-year-old Farm House welcomes guests and visitors in a BnB-style. We have hosted writers on retreat, plein air painting groups, families exploring Northern Maine, people looking for a place to reconnect to the earth, and travelers through this unique region.
We have space for 6-8 people (2 queen/king beds, three twins, and a trundle bed). Our farmhouse is family-friendly. We can accommodate some pets (please check with us) on our sunporch, though not in the home. It is non-smoking in the farmhouse, but there is space outdoors. A fully equipped kitchen is available for guests to cook in. We have a washer/dryer and ample parking.
You can find out more and check out our rates on AirBnb.
We also have single rooms available:

What You Can Find At Skylandia Farm:
We have hiking trails, beaver ponds, wild meadows, fields of oats and winter wheat, pine forests, apple trees, sprawling raspberry patches, wild blueberries, and incredible flowers throughout the summer. If you’re here in the winter, snowshoeing is a delight, especially under the full moon!
We are a wildlife sanctuary of an unofficial sort. Bald eagles circle overhead. Moose lumber through the back woods. A family of black bears has lived on the land as long as we have. There are three beaver ponds running through cedar swamps. Field mice, frogs, songbirds of all sorts, and many other creatures great and small live here, too. There is no hunting allowed on our land.
Skylandia Farm is in the St. John Valley on the border of Canada. In addition to our land, there are also some interesting nearby locations such as Notre-Dame-du-Mont-Carmel Church in Lille, the Grand Falls river gorge and the Botanical Gardens in Canada. Long Lake (a great place for boating, fishing, and swimming) is 12 miles from our house. The St. John River is literally across the street, and generally accessible at the Grand Isle Boat Launch a mile down the road.

What Guests Say About Skylandia Farm:
“We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Skylandia farm. The farmhouse is
so cozy and warm and you immediately feel like you are a part of the family as soon as you enter the space. We brought six guests and we had more than enough space. The house is easy to find right on a main road but is very quiet and sits acres and acres of beautiful land that we enjoyed with long walks around the fields. I highly recommend a stay at Skylandia if you want a relaxing getaway, an inspirational space for creativity and for a place to stay to explore beautiful northern Maine! – Samantha Piro, Plein Air Painter
“A nice, clean and homey country home with very personable hosts. I highly recommend it!” – Chuck Cyr
“A beautiful home. Wonderful decor, great hosts. Highly recommend. We will stay here again!” – M.R.
“Nice family farm house along the St. John valley. Rivera was very responsive and so kind in helping me find some of my heritage in Grand Isle. My 8 year old nephew had a blast exploring the land, and the star gazing at night was amazing! The country house has a lot of family touches and feels like a very loved home with lots of memories.” – A.F
“Both hosts (Rivera and Leah) were awesome and house was great. We had great time!” – J.B.
“Super nice hosts. They have. 500 acres of farmland in the back of the house you can roam around on!”- B.G.
